What you will learn:
Just as the practice of yoga itself is transformative, participating in a YTT is also transformative. Your practice will change in meaningful ways –
physically, mentally, and spiritually – which will also extend out to how you approach your relationships and life circumstances. You will learn practical yoga skills such as alignment, body awareness, and how to avoid injury and embark upon breathing techniques, meditation, and study that provides for an inward journey.

Whether you want to teach yoga professionally or want to deepen your personal practice, here are some reasons why so many people take Yoga Teacher Trainings:

Classes will meet Tuesdays 6pm – 9pm, Fridays 4:30pm -7:30pm, Saturdays 12pm – 3pm, Sundays 10:30am – 1:30pm

Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion. becoming eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher.

Sadhana Yoga Teacher Training is recognized as a Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts Program (MyCAA) school and participants may be eligible for tuition support through the MyCAA program.

Your Instructor:
Diane Malaspina:
Diane has been practicing yoga since 2001 and teaching yoga since 2004. With certifications in Prana Vinyasa Flow and YogaWorks, she sequence her classes in a way that honors structural alignment of the body while enhancing freedom of movement.  Some of the classes that are taught focus on the therapeutic and restorative effects of yoga while other classes build strength and stamina. Diane has developed the curriculum for and lead The Yoga Room’s 200 Hour Teacher Training. She also works with athletes (Old Dominion University’s Field Hockey Team) and cancer survivors. At times you will find her at Eastern Virginia Medical School giving lectures to medical students and residents on the latest research on yoga and medicine and the importance  of keeping up a regular practice. Diane is  dedicated to her meditation practice and also teaches workshops on intention setting and meditation.She has trained in prenatal yoga and offer weekly classes to expecting moms. Diane believes yoga is beneficial for everyone and loves sharing the practice as a form of deepening our relationship to ourselves and feeling good as we live in our bodies. In addition to  yoga training, she has a Master’s degree in Education & a Doctorate in Psychology. Diane work in local schools and with families to support healthy interactions and positive approaches to children’s development.
