“Your fitness routine should never become ‘routine’ and needs to have an element of play to give the mind and body encouragement to come back for more.”
Kim’s whole life has been linked to the military and moving around a lot, so she agrees with the saying ‘Home is where the heart is.’ She received a M.S. in Exercise Science, and is certified in 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training and Massage Therapy. She has been teaching fitness classes since 1984 and has been working at Wareing’s Gym for the past ten years. Kim feels the best motivation she can give a client is laughter and positive reinforcement. Her grandmother was her inspiration to living a healthy lifestyle and was an example to her by gardening, riding her bike, volunteering, and eating lots of fruits and vegetables. She loves to have a workout buddy whether it’s one person or a whole group of people to motivate her. Kim loves working at Wareing’s because the members all share a concern for living healthy in all aspects of their lives, not just inside the gym. When she’s not at work, she loves making date nights with her husband, being involved in her kids’ lives, massage therapy, and coming up with fun playlists for her classes.
Random Fact: Kim used to work for an orthodontist and is somewhat compulsive about flossing.
